Thankful Thursday

We are free to live in

Unity

A gift so treasured every thing pales in compare to this
One Body,
One Mind
, One Purpose.

I come easily to say...

My fellows please pray for my friends daughter .
Her daughter was battered by a former boyfriend,
She is in surgery this morning for a broken jaw.
We shall pray together for them ...yes?
She is there now undergoing having it wired together.

Please pray yet for my niece,
shall deliver and baby is breach.
That this baby boy will turn
so that c-section might be avoided.
Her Mothers wounded heart.
That freedom to find pure delight
in this terrible time of loss in her son.
My niece in her loss of her only big brother
Her only sibling.
That she would find strength to deliver in this time of sorrow.

In unity of purpose
To guard the week and wherry.
I am going to help out a single mom today and watch her daughter (Dove's friend).
It is spring break here.
A sweet soul offered to receive Dash for some boy time at her house.
One on one play date that he will attend today.
Our hearts come together for the children.
Doing and being one with a heart to offer them joy.

Tomorrow is our 27 th wedding anniversary.
When we in our Union come to recall the joy of Loving and of a single mind.
Steve to take the day off and we are going to the forest to do a geo cash for the kids. It is a treasure hunt where he will hike off into the forest and set a concordance with the GPS then come back.
Giving the kids the GPS they will have to go find a hidden treasure by the navigation alone.
It sounds so fun for them.
Oh the forest!

Unity of purpose.
There is a retreat of bloggers coming up in October 2009.
A time where eye meets eye face to face.
Souls come to overlook what eye sees and hearts prevail.
Where once strangers will come
set aside the veil that might of never allowed to have a friendship
were it not for this marvelous technology.

Unity
A place of belonging that is so innately needed
in our human condition as to be primary to desire.

One with God
One with each other
yes... within the unity under the offering of the final sacrifice
Christ Jesus.
Yet even in peace with my neighbors and enemies as far as it is possible .
To live on good terms with all persons.
One with my husband.
One with my children
May that always be...
One in purpose
Loving
Living
Delighting in each other.

For this , this day I am most thankful.

Beautiful list and praying in unity with you for these needs.... Oh how we need each other.........God is in the Blog........

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
