Marriage Monday

Good morning
Once again a dear Lady asks for our hearts and minds toward topic.
Come join us today as our topic is Faith in our marriage
It is good and a sweet thing to experience trials with a man who loves God. In New love it is that infatuation covers all it flows over faults found within each one of us. It is the faith of that union to love through the hard times. Those times when health effects our personalities and responses. Aging has its infatuations of Character. Memories of the heart of who we each are.

For us this is faith. Believing the best in one another. Trusting that God is more in love with your spouse than you are. He is for Him/Her is such a way that can empower. Seeing shadows of the strength of a man begin to change. No longer that 'new' marriage. Watching bodies begin to change. Although very young in this process ourselves it is a time of faith.

Twenty nine years days watch months pass into years. Faith gives them spice. A savor. When nurtured or even if a bit neglected faith pulls loose ends tough. Tying cords that bind us in each of the memories of days when needs, even wants were met. Months when presence of 'the divine' unmistakeably  apparent. Years of honing by trial, sharpened by wit and humor. Faith is the evidence of what is hoped for the development of trust in it's many stages. Character enough to know that when something is not right that your hearts 'for' each other must fight through those thing that hinder or hurt. Even if it is frightening to face, even it it is misunderstood and hurts others. Faith tells love to act knowing that the fallout is out of our hands. It is faith that hopes that honesty and rigorous love will prevail around us/within us.

Faith tells trust that eyes open character is there. Health can mask our action, thoughts and even behaviors.
Faith asks God for a glimpse of understanding.
Many things will be faced through life. We are all temporal beings.
When my husband began to respond unlike himself health showed signs. Hypothyroidism was for him a culprit. For me illness took over our marriage for years. Battles faced of mind, body and spirit will be there in each life. Faith sees them through. Believing in those things hoped for. Being 'FOR' each other takes more faith than you will ever have. It takes trust in the one who loves our mate more than we do.

Faith is remembering the experience strength and hope that a life time together has proven out. It lifts those difficult times spices up the days into humor of the frailty of us all. It is the fallout when challenging the status qua. Loving others so much that misunderstands resolve over time.

It is knowing that it will all work out even when things may seam hopeless. Hold on for the ride faith is an exercise. Trusting that the both of you can make it all work out 'when' you believe the best of the other. When your life is lived 'for' each other and not against. Caring about the other as well as self. It is not in caring for our individual need that we become self centered. It is good and imperative to mind your own heart and needs. When 'two become one' we care for the whole when we tent to our own heart. This is the honing to do so with mutual needs in mind. Challenging is faith in acting, giving place for HOPE. Then hope sees the fruit of lives matured together.

It takes two to make it so. It take one to act at times to overcome the others weakness and to build up the whole. We take turns at that day by month by years gone by. Acting on LOVE, building Faith through hope. We have a wonderful future together, no matter the challenges that come our way to hone us.

Please join us once again for Marriage Monday on May 2, 2011. Our group topic this time is “faith.” How does your Christian faith express itself between you and your spouse? Do you pray together? Or discuss theology? Do you lead or attend a couples Bible study? Perhaps you’re spiritually unequal, yet you're thriving nonetheless. Feel free to share any aspect of your spiritual journey with us, dear sister.

I’m looking forward to meeting you back here at Chrysalis on Monday.

See you very soon!

Blessings,

He gave me a Marriage

" All I wanted was a man that loved God and a home of my own", I cried.

A place to be safe, to learn who I am.
A place to belong and to grow and help another the same.
A mission to gain through mutual growth and sacrifice.

Now seeing 28 years to the day I said yes that God heard me.
God answered my call.
For two weeks later set to wed a man who had asked the same of Him.
He said "all I want is a wife, a woman to love, a place to be safe, a woman to belong.
One who would accept me and mutually grow into life for all of our years".

He married us only a month into our meeting.
Although this man saw me a thousand pews aside.
Watching weekly for a chance to say hello.
It was God who set time into HIS plan.

Now some 28 years later we roll over asleep and clasp each others hand.
Our toes touch under the covers and night by night 365 times 28.
We raise two wonderful children not bone of our bone.
They have grown under our hearts.

"A Man that Loved God not a religious man" was my plea.
With mercy my dear precious Lord heard and supplied this for me.
Religion has stumbled us throughout the years here and there.
Those zealous new years when emotion was high and passion ran wild.
Mellowed us into friendship with our God and each other.

He loves God just like I had asked for.
I tried to belong in so many a congregation, yet I always did, to our Lord and our God.
This man who loved God was so patient and pulled me into "being".
Setting the generational familial and religious "doing" aside.
He freed me in so many ways.
Yet I have drawn him like honey to friendship
a vibrant place to live and abide.

Now many a year later, battles struggles trials aside.
I am  treasured as his ageless bride.
He is still handsome, I have always love that sparkle when he looks into my eyes.
Reflecting to me how perhaps God sees me through my darlings eyes.

A wonderful Anniversary to you my Beloved Husband and Friend.

Marriage Monday on Nov. 2, 2009 "A Love Letter to My Husband."

Greater love has no man but to lay down his life for another.

He laid down his life for me.

sister mouse

Please God all I desire is a home of my own
A Man that Loves You.

Chatham pup and Dove

My Dear Husband
Yesterday I spoke of that early time when as only a brother in Christ to me you saw deep into the caverns of my teeth. I will always remember you selling your motorcycle to take me to the dentist. That day in that dentist chair when the dentist proceeded to look down my top at my breast you took me out of there and told him off...then you found me another dentist but not just any old dentist you research to find me the best dentist in the valley one who worked with special needs adults. You did this for a sister...a sister who became your bride.

Easily you let go of your passions to cause me to become your passion. It is with that passion you have for me that standing with me those early years you broke through the enmeshment of my family of origin. Making me able to fight through so that I would have my freedom from the dysfunction of my youth.

I remember the day you held me when married only a month the call came in that Rusty (my boyfriend of 4 years ) was dead. You held me , you wept with me and understood. Not a jealous bone in your body . Only trust in me.

You my darling believed in me. You saw me in all my glory even if it was only a foreshadowing of who I have become.

You walked with me laying down all the hopes and dreams of a "normal" life. Others saw you as a white horseman reaching down for the gutter child. Never did you ever see yourself that way. You saw us always as equals in the eyes of God in the eyes of that love we reflected back and forth.

Many years you played a duel role in my life as husband friend parent teacher healer a child helping another child so that we might grow into adult hood together.

My Dear beloved friend my lover dear husband and father of our young your love has kept me longing for breadth when it was the only thing that could of done so.

You have grown into glorious manhood along side this woman once child. Your an example that many would gain honor from.  Even within the humanity of your frailty that spirit of humility shines through.

Dear soul my friend you are true faced to me. I trust in you always. Even when we disagree you hear me and listen. I love that man who you are. Never a bone to destroy. Never a thought to slaughter life or anything living. No joy find you in the kill of a beast or the destruction of a man. You are he who would weep of such things.

I love who you are. You are safe and true. Quarks yes...shoot um' ups on computer aside :) it is a joy. Then that's just me and you accept that it is me.

You accept me, fight for me, believe in me. Longing always to bring me/us life more abundant.
This is your heart for me. Your life laid down for the others around you. Seldom ever longing with envy or resentment for those things that your sacrifice has left you with loss.
Never let go of your dreams my friend. We may not see how they could come true...but for you it is my desire they do so.

It is easy to like who you are.  You embrace the world around you with silent compassion. Those who God cares for do you also long for them the best life can give them. This is a beauty around you.

Oh your laughter, the balance you bring in our family. The playfulness you share with your children is a spark of light that will glow within them their entire lives.

You have sparked that same glow within me. You are that light set up in our home and my darling you shine.

You Shine.
You...you light up my life.

An amazing day!

This my day, a gift I lived made my heart dance as a grateful princess before her

Father

The morn a treat of wifery and motherhood.

On to an appointment with the Neurologist.

There I find a professional who so admires me and my character. He delighted that I have begun the EDMR smiled and told me that he too had begun his training. My (top 20+ yr neuro in the valley) was delighted to find that all three players in my health care are working as a team with one mind. The Physician doing the EDMR so highly esteems the Neurologist that she will be working closely with him in the PTSD work. My MD is fond of the whole process and has set me up with a medication to ease the stress when the PTSD hits. Because it is provoked by stress and my biochemical inability to manage the stress due to brain neurological damage the meds will keep me able to stop the progression when it hits.

I completed this month what he had asked of me and he is very pleased.

He strongly feels (that with the exception of the UIO lesions in the white matter) that I have a very good prognosis of not only stopping the continuing neuro pathway damage but also possible reversing it!

He will watch the lesions with CT yearly as they have grown. Due to the PTSD I awake often sometimes nightly with panic. It is not congruent or associated with anything it is just the brains way of firring off the fight flight mechanism. After speaking with him and ruling out my willingness to take a sleep aid like ambium that knocks you out and leaves you drowsy the next day...we discussed the herb valarian root. He thinks however that using a perceptions form of melatonin and getting the sleep cycle regulated it will be of good support with the upcoming EMDR sessions. Get this he GAVE me 12 days of samples and a coupon for a MONTH FREE. It is a purer derivative than that I could find in a health food store and assimilates more effectively.

I will take my first dose tonight.

As was last Thursday a recurrent circumstance happened.

As I pulled out of the parking lot across the street was an elder walking in this heat. After having Heat Exhaustion last week I am VERY thoughtful of the issue. I pulled over to give her a lift. She was 91 years old!!!Walking what would have been a MILE AND A HALF!!!!!!!!!!!!! She missed the bus.

Now on the way she said to me that she is of no more use now.

Well I walked her into the office and informed the clerk she was on foot and asked them to please look to her transport. I then bent down to tell her that she had lied to me. That it was a lie that she is of no use. That I needed her to be an example to me of the truth of her value as do all of the other women who look to our elders for example. She spoke of a great grand child and I told her that THEY need her and told her flat out to call them. It was so cool.

Well I was off and went on to meet my friend at the mall.

When I arrived early I decided to make use of a coupon and looked for a pair of shoes...walked away with $60 two pair for $34.

Oh too cute! I got a pair of purple shoes! I have always wanted a pair of purple shoes!

My dear friend and I had a nice visit and when I went to get a sandwich I was given a second one for FREE! I took it home to the kids for after school.

God has been teaching some things about being a seer and how in the church any gift but the gift of prophecy is tolerable and acceptable. I have witnessed I believe folk who have this innate gift find acceptance only in the dark arts of becoming a psychic I think that if given the right to be who God gifted them to be that the light empowered gift could really do a lot of good in this world .

These people are rejected out of ignorance and misinterpreted scripture. Doing what they do for the pride and gain of dollar is a plight driven through temptation and rejection.

Well my friend is an adopted soul who has discovered her birth mom is such a one.

Now it is just last evening that God had been showing Himself through the creation off ALL of the universe. Even the wise men looked to the stars. They had their eyes to all that was Holy however.

I had shared these thought for she had asked me of my thoughts on the issue almost three years ago. I had wanted to make a point to answer her query today.

Last night her birth mom contacted her...timing

So then... we spoke of another soul who needs to be needed and devised a way to allow them to express the gift of skill and we could then share our knowledge in the computer arena and solve an issue of need that the person has. So cool to see how all of this is orchestrated.

My Sweet friend and I then walled some and for the first time in a very long time I bought some clothing for myself. 75% off of things that were marked down already 50%! $45 tops for $4.99 so amazing!

I spent $75 and I saved $265

A nice dress, jean shorts a sweater and three nice tops (one beaded) at Lane Bryant Also if I go back and spend $50 I will have $25 off for she gave me a coupon.

Well with errands and children to tend too we parted ways.

I went to get dog food...yep.. ya ready!

so $38 a bag marked down to $32 I had a $2 coupon

Two coupons for $4 each to get a treat or toy and on a clearance I found two VERY nice treat balls for the dogs (I mean hefty ones) were FREE normally like $12-15 each

$58 ish for $32

So I stopped at Wal-Mart and ran in for the pillow forms I needed, got home just in time to ready a plate of half a sub, Frito's and let them share a soda.

Oh HAPPY KIDS!

They did their homework and chores happily.

My Beloved saw me skitter and dance with glee my new clothes and purple shoes just make me feel like a princess!

Oh but this day

with this presence and this provision extended to me left me walking the clouds as I shiver and chill to the presence of all that is HOLY.

Happy are you the Father of our children.

Let us not forget we have a Heavenly Father...

Hea]"> predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will

You are your Fathers Son
My love...

For you did not forget that you yourself being adopted into the embrace of a loving father.
A God who comforts you in every way.

You set to take his example into your life.
As he pursued you.
You pursued your children
Your choice, the way you became a father was one that few men make.

You laid down you own desires and dreams and goals to give them a life.
To give us a life together.

You traversed the globe.
Braved elements that are far beyond the understanding of most.

Intentional was your becoming a father.
To first gain our daughter.
Intentional and with choice were the great risks you took to afford a father to your children.
All of this you chose to do willingly. Your risk to return after the towers of 911 fell...
The risk of life lost and dreams snatched...
Letting go of the certain to risk another chance for your dearly adopted son.
As we set into a trust the accounts and to wills prepared the possibility of loss our own lives...

Your choice for another above yourself and the family secure we already had...

Your a FATHER
For you are for them.
You pursued them and yet still do.

Watch and see that it is good
all that you had risked was rewarded so many times over.

As you lead them up the hills and through the valleys of life.

The example of courage is exemplary.
The humor you have instilled in them make life lighter.
The example of leadership in our marriage is unity that provides a safety too few children have ever known.

In accordance with your pleasure and will you have chosen wisely.
I see that good pleasure in your eyes and theirs.

The consequences of your choices have given you the life of a
FATHER.

So happy are you the Father of our children.

It is now ours alone.

We have yet a lot to do.
Or should I say I mostly do.

The vanity has yet to be detailed.

We again replace the string in the large blind.
This time we went to a Joannes house of Fabrics and found some twine made especially for the purpose.
Still it bound and would not pull open easily.
Steve went out to the shop and made a new part for it.
It is wonderful!
Now I have an open window again.
We did not choose to buy all new blinds.
The fix...$4.17 of .19 cent a yard drapery twine and a lot of effort.
Reuse and renew:)
I am eager to create some valence.

That quilt on the bed was made in June of 1982 three months after we were married.
I did not let any time go by before we had a quilt.
It was cool to see the embroidered date it is 27 years ago almost to the day!
That was all the fabric of our youths.
His mom gave me scrap and I used scrap I had left over from things I had sewn. The Elder was painted by my MILove, she was going to throw it away!!!!!
No Way!!!!! I told her to throw it my way.
I put some costume jewelery on the dresser and my bracelets.
Now remember I make jewelry...
That is my Indian wedding dress.
It is hide and beads and feathers.
That is a Tao's drum, and a talking stick.
Psalm 31 is in a shelled frame.
That is the self portrait painting.
Teeth brushing time.
We just finished family movie night.
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
I covered my eyes a lot.
Left me uncomfortable often.
Don't care too much for those sorts of movies.

Going through the vase of flowers in the living room and a few from the garage I was able to come up with this mix.

I really like it!
That whole corner is refreshing.
That is the figurine of my blog header.
This is the first time I found a place for it I really like.
Forget-me-not= true Love
rose, burgundy= Unconscious Beauty

Camellia= Loveliness

Here's to hoping all of you had fun this week end.
I had a blast doing our master bedroom suite.
I worked all day on the bathroom and turned it into a spa of sorts.
I will have to show it later.

I had read that why would any one want to take care of their own self in a stinky messy bathroom that lacked in charm.
I even did a manicure!, pedicure too!
I created a place where I would see the set up and take the time to show better care to my hands and feet.
My weight is also recently dropping.
I think I am beginging to realy care about myself.
Dove also really needs that to be exampled to her.

Out of the suite came everything little girl and all entered was woman and the masculine as well.
You might say it grew up this weekend.
Everything that is not of our relationship alone was removed into the proper places.

It is now ours alone.

Love is a wonderful thing

It teaches our hearts to sing.

This is our new area for a time together.
The loving corner.

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
