Dash has a vision appointment

Bless God and all of you for your prayers and encouragement. This morning Bren sent me a list of passages. As I looked up each one, they were high lighted already. Being reminded of His Word, this living word caused me to be still. God is God. I was not able to get back into the Children s Clinic at ST. Joe until late April. I was able to get into a renowned pediatric ophthalmologist on Monday. I will have my infusion of Saturday and so it will guard me as to be able to go into a pediatric office without the concern of my immune issues. My kids have spring break as well next week so no missed school. The nurse at the allergist looked into his ears and saw wax. The Urgent Care doctor did not see any. This gives us hope as well. He is still hearing poorly. We are trying to use 8az warm water 1 tea hydo peroxide rinse with a special syringe she gave me. He was not able to get his allergy shots today. He blew a VERY low number on his meter. We used some albuteral. He had a field day in PE today.

Steve and I are most eased by this, we hope that the Urgent Care doc just made a mess. We still have to confirm with vision and hearing testing. Goodness! Yes...yes...goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...follow? not lead... follow...interesting notion.

On another note. Dash dropped a VERY heavy bolt/tube of  banner paper on Dove's foot. It is swollen. Steve and I are just shaking our heads! She may need an xray in the morning!

While tending to a limping child while hobbling through the house myself (all but comical) my left knee gave out a BIG pop! I is now loose and feeling less painful. Isn't that cool! Sorta like cracking a knuckle. This last round of shots is taking a bit to get adjusted and out of pain. The brace is being formed and I should get it in a week or so. It will be fitted and hold my leg as to press on the outside of it to keep the bow legging of the bone on bone. It is pretty fancy.

The DonJoy Fource Point ACL Knee Brace

Please remember if you will to pray for my sister. She had knee replacement just last week. VERY pained she is. Sweet Lady.

The Word filled me
Please do me a favor...
Comment for me the passages for the life blood, the blood that covers all. I need a scripture infusion. :)
Thank you all
Donetta

Word Filled Wednesday

Hello Hope the day has given you an opportunity to enjoy some beauty. Sewing and catching up on the many repairer jobs in my Que kept and is keeping me busy in a pleasant way.

Monday dash's quilt received the last stitches of a long line of threads. It was a real privileged and pleasure to give a little love not and the date. His 10th birthday is Sunday so we are holding buck until then. I want to just to give it too him, but the gifts he will received are limited this year.
So you think he needed a new one?

Front of the old one lasted well but the back was torn to bit.
Little or should I now say medium boy blue is very hard on his jeans. So I sew...the process will get posted over at my other blog 'a place to create'. This was completed today.
We have an ironing board that Steve gave me as a birthday gift years ago. It is in the Master closet. One of the fold up into the wall type. It is worn out! so I sew... A new cover for it. The heat resistant fabric a real find. hot pads will use up the scraps once I get to them.

My flowers are really coming up now. The spring seeds ready to get into ground. Both Veggie and flower. Most all of the seeds were either harvested or already purchased last year. It is nice to avoid the added costs. Most of the flowers from the seed swap failed. The ones I harvested off of the poppies are now in full force green as the forest in spring. Color is increasing daily. I am loving it! Now it takes a couple of weeks with the neighbors thinking
' when are they going to pull all those weeds'?

It is my joy to bring forth a little beauty on my street. So after a long day of work perhaps the change of mood in my neighbors might even spark a better evening for families on my street.

"bloom Where your planted" a light upon a hill not easily hidden.
Folks perhaps might give up on a light till it blooms...but once it shines dear Lord has mercy!

Enjoy your day.
I am going out to run over an apple. Dash asked what it would be like. :) Why not satiate his curiosity.
 predictions
back up
 predictions
pull forward
 querry
 assessment
 hadn't thought about apple juice

Now some might say that is a perfectly waste of an apple
to me the mind is a terrible thing to waste

that was fun
He was sure surprised I took him up on his question
yes...he cleaned it up and I hosed off the juice
Bringing up the children in the way they should go.

It says
"I did not find any hearts. I am sad for the squid for it did not know how to love.
LOL (crys)

Dove and her 6th grade class had a special science unit after school last week. This is her synopsis. Read the paragraph about the hearts. By the way squid have three hearts hers did not have any.

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

A Crow Cried Out

The most amazing thing happened while we were ending our this Sunday Morning.
Dove and I had spoken long into the night Saturday. I had shared some of my Story with her. I shared the story of how I had come to embrace the Lord and turn into this life anew. Spoke of the transformation Of those years when the life of me was being utterly sucked from existence into hopelessness.

The next morning I told the family to please come.Upon opening the scriptures I told them that this is how I was presented the good news of my salvation and turn into the hope of life. As I read John 3 a lone crow flew over us and calling in his sorrowful voice Steve and I were stunned . There had been a terrible fire near our camp ground last year and we had heard no crow and had even spoken of this only moments before on a hike. An entire generation of them burned lost in the fire a lone crow spoke as the scripture of John. 3:16 was read.

I then spoke of the very thing that I had read over and over just before the news was placed in my lap and the news given to be only hours before I had screamed out to God for a hope so that I would not take my life. Reading Psalm 91 aloud to the children Dove pointed up into a nearby pine.

There in the pine only 30 feet away on the same branch! was a Robin, Blue Jay and Hummingbird. They had taken time to come to hear the Word read aloud. We were all taken back by it. The children were none to happy to be called to come to sit, but then I had there undivided attention.

On the way home down the mountain Dash spoke..."Mom your like a preacher."

Responding to those with me "Really do you see me that way? They all conquered. Telling them that I and never really looked at myself that way...

Then Dash spoke up and added "like a traveling Preacher"

Spiritual Sunday

Stress
Stress can cause an explosion or an implosion

As we drove up to the back country north east we listened to the sermon Steve down loaded onto cd.
The preacher spoke of stress.
How in it it is the focus
We all have stress.
Sometimes it causes explosion of anger and frustration. Other times withdrawal.
It has recently caused both for me.
The shame of a loss of focus (a stress alone) tuns face away.

He spoke of focus.
Nagging and complaining and fears all stop peace when peace is primary.

We listened to Jewel on the stereo as we drove out of town a line in the song..."please be careful with me I'm sensitive and I 'd like to stay that way" and I cried there sitting in the truck as we drove.

You know that the pastor also spoke of contentment the relief of stress in that. Fear can rob that. It is hard sometimes to hold onto our own contentment when we are making great efforts to bring contentment to others. Soon a loss of contentment causes you just want to have your own or let go of for the fight is too long and too much effort. Hopelessness sets in. Stress grips hold. Then the other straws in the bail start to poking you here and there. Financial the most annoying that is the fear of want. Poor or rich he reminded us that Stress abides simply as a part of life. For the one with the focus on Gods love and loving Him gains in lessens of maturation accrue to our gain.
The focus
Mine has been off a while now. Fatigue can cause that part of the trial I suppose. The heal that gets snapped at by that ol' viper. I wore boots today. Kept myself both physically and spiritually protected somehow a bit better long enough to consider my focus.

I have imploded with stress here on the blog. Exploded here at home far to often.
I will make great efforts to focus on peace, beauty and the examples so taught to me through the scriptures.

Mr Linky is over here
"And as for you, take for yourself some of all food WHICH IS EDIBLE,
gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them."

Genesis chapter 6
, verse 21

A late lunch for the children and I with a focus on my commitment to better health.
The Black Cherey Concentrate is awesome for joint inflammation.
This is a day of rest for me for I had two days of hard physical labor in the garden.

Thankful Thrusday

Last night through the shadow of the haunting pain of my back
I was able to really enjoy myself at the sewing machine.
There will be a tutorial over at A Place to Create soon.

This I am thankful for
that I am physically able to set to task with the skills gained and talents given.

We have our abilities to be used.

It is a terrible thing for those who suffer with skills that they are physically unable make use of them.

Do this day what you are ABLE to do with the cheer within your heart.

That we are able to do it.

Ephesians 2:10 (New International Version)

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Exodus 31:6
Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

Exodus 28:6
[ The Ephod ] "Make the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen—the work of a skilled craftsman

13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.

19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.

21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

These beads have been around for a long while There were just enough to create a look I was after here. I really love beads of course you all probably already know that about me.

That red fabric was from the home school days.

I used to read a cute book to Dove when she was three or so.

The Bellveiw Hotel

The guest received the red carpet treatment .

The carpet got out of control and rolled right to the dock.

Dove wished she could walk on a red carpet so I made her one.

That is why this was so simple it was already hemmed.

It is fond and every time I see that window I just can see my little girl walking so respectfully down that red carpet.

Word Filled Wednseday

This the song over my head when I awoke today.

I'll walk in the rain by your side, I'll cling to the warmth of your tiny hand. I'll do anything to help you understand, I'll love you more than anybody can. And the wind will whisper your name to me, Little birds will sing along in time, The leaves will bow down when you walk by, And morning bells will chime. I'll be there when you're feeling down, To kiss away the tears if you cry. I'll share with you all the happiness Ive found, A reflection of the love in your eyes. And I'll sing you the songs of the rainbow, Whisper all the joy that is mine. The leaves will bow down when you walk by, And morning bells will chime. {repeat verse 1} The leaves will bow down when you walk by, And morning bells will chime.

When Bad Things Happen
This is a good study on this topic

The Scriptures speak of three types of "trouble" for the believer:

1) Discipline, judgment, or rebuke from the Lord;
2) tests, trials, persecutions, suffering; and
3) temptations or attacks from Satan.

So is this present trouble the hand of the Lord in direct rebuke, or the promised testing of our faith, or are we being "had" by Satan? We should know, so we can respond accordingly.

  • A.W. Tozer: "As long as we remain in the body we shall be subject to a certain amount of that common suffering which we all share with the sons of men. But there is another kind of suffering, known only to the Christian: it is voluntary suffering deliberately and knowingly incurred for the sake of Christ.

  • "Such is a luxury, a treasure of fabulous value. And it is rare as well as precious, for there are few in this decadent age who will of their own choice go down into this dark mine looking for jewels. God will not force us into this kind of suffering; he will not lay this cross upon us nor embarrass us with riches we do not want. Such riches are reserved for those who apply to serve in the legion of the expendables, who love not their lives unto death, who volunteer to suffer for Christ's sake and who follow up their application with lives that challenge the devil and invite the fury of hell.

  • "Such as these have said good-bye to the world's toys; they have accepted toil and suffering as their earthly portion. The marks of the cross are upon them and they are known in heaven and in hell. But where are they? Has this breed of Christian died out of the earth?"

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

    • how to love their husbands
    • how to love their children
    • how to be self-controlled
    • how to be pure
    • how to be keepers at home
    • how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

    • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
    • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
    • Return with Honor
    • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
    • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
    • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
    • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
    • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
