When ever the salt has lost it's flavor it needs to be replaced.
Well we use sea salt in our foods.
It has a lot more minerals that your not able to get from plain table salt.
Salt matters in our foods.
Salt matters more in our Character.
My salt was running low.
A sweet note from the little friend of mine who was given the pony
As most of you know
God IS
Well I have been with Him in a medical adventure with him of late.
Today the tech. was to come at 9 am to do the blood draw for the DNA marker of Alzheimer.
Many of you know that this is a real matter of trust for me (regarding insurance and such).
I have to trust.
I chose to trust...better said.
Last night I was able to make a meal.
I was stunned at the strength to keep going.
Today as the house was readied for her arrival, a peace was with me.
Right before her arrival I thought to put some worship music on and was distracted to put the dogs out. The door bell rang. Such a pretty young woman. Just beautiful, bright and friendly.
We sat at the dining table and she began. Se had to stop to go to her car to get non-latex gloves, I thought how kind. See I was going to just cover my mouth and nose with a cloth.
We found our selves worshiping when I was wherry of thought she was full of the word. She was there for me today a gift.
We spoke for an hour and a half.
A good half hour of that was in prayer and worship and praise togeather.
Never get to tired, too lonely or to hungry.
He gave me rest, He gave me fellowship and he fed my mind with the washing of His word.
We spoke of the things we have known in Him and heard and witnessed.
I told her of several of the moment when
He Is
We greeted His presence int he moment that is eternity in a capsule of our time here on this plane, this earth. We remembered, I remembered who I am.
I remembered who he is.
Reminded a fresh of the battle at hand.
My duty to fight it and not just lay down and take his ****.
So Dove was to have pictures taken for orchestra today and had forgotten to bring the form home.
I had hoped to fill the desire for her, she too needs mercy. Yes we need to learn, but this was different.
This morning at the bus stop, it was mentioned to another kid. He had a form and he gave it to me for he was not going to use it.
Provision.
After Mary left I drove up to the school in time to get it to her with the payment.
She was able to be included in the orchestra photo.
I went to the store to get a bag of potting mix and the things needed for the strawberry pot.
She remembered Mr U. and I from our date, when we got the plants.
We spoke of life. I had asked her if her knee was better. I noticed she did not have the brace on it. It seamed to really touch her that I even asked.
As I left the cashier called me back.
She said "you know...I have an education in special needs kids and if ever you and your husband need a break I would be willing to be there for you."
I got her phone number.
We will have to get much better acquainted of course to ever even consider such a thing, but perhaps a new friend. Friends are everywhere and anywhere.
My berry pot.
after the pot, I tended the coop.
moved it and turned the compost
If the coop is left too long it is not good for the grass.
My compost is doing real well. Starting to get earthy.
I like the coop and the compost bins near it.
It is a lot less work having it close to the coop and the kitchen is nearer too.
Somehow I was able to finish the towels I made to use to replace the paper towels when making the sandwiches for lunch. By laying out the towels on the counter and a knife and the lunch boxes the kids see it and go about the task of creating their own lunches. This has been new this week and is working well. I have been using the regular kitchen towels. It will be nice to have these just for that purpose.
The old phaff machine uses steel bobbins so I moved them over to the thread bed nearer the Phaff.
Bren over at "pieces from me" sent this cute fabric to me.
Using the towels I cut down, I was going to make some pot holders. I thought of this fabric. Think the word before every day right there guarding my hands. :)
stack and like so, sew...
by positioning the words I got a nice message on each mitt. Also on the other side.
Making the pocket to protect my hands.
Then the bias hem tape.
Last night amazingly I got to this point.
I was just stunned at the adrenaline energy that flowed through me.
I thought of the prayers of all of you on my behalf.
The force of such loving kindness.
thank you.
The batanicals also got matted and the saw tooth attached.use needle nose to do so, never mind the bent nail. Imperfection some days is just fine.
:)
It is in that perfect imperfection that HE IS in me and through me.
Me is no longer so significant because
He IS.
They are finally hung.
These prints are dated mid 50's
They are so beautiful.
I found them years ago in a church in Jerome Arizona.
There was a basement sale. They were .25 cents each.
Funny thing is...
The bird is the one in the boarder and the insects are in the fabric of the curtain. The very same brown butterfly!
As the images here were down loading the little scraps of toweling were finished.
These are good for monitor clothes and little messes. You see for these simple living things
I am thankful.
This is my mothers towel. Worn ,but she dried her hands on it in my youth.
I have kept it .
My sister gave it to me some years back.
I saw a cool idea to make little clothes that have weights on the corners .
Used to cover a glass or a jar on the counter.
My Mothers towel like her will find new life.
Even if it is at the end of hers.
Sometimes folks just have to get so worn out that there is not much left of them.
It is then that they can reach out of necessity to be made new.
May those you love , come to the end of themselves as well.
I thank God for the new life he gave my mother.
I thank God for restoring my heart toward her as well.
Now this old worn out towel is a priceless treasure.
Salt tossed out for new.
