In the midnight hours

all is still
distractions cease
battles exposed for what they are
comes he to only steal kill and destroy

divide and conquer
inielate even from within
yet my stronghold is greater
we all know who wins

they ask a question
"where is your God?"
eyes view only the battled ground
focused too close to the trees

The greatest armaments is to deceive
an enemy who convinced that he is absent
disarms the appointee.
"Where is God?"

"Where are you in the battle?"
eyes fixed on the slaughtered masses frozen in the fear
who are you to have forgotten who you have right to be?
There is a battle going on, God is left to blame?

Where are you in the choices of the day?
Has your hearts so hardened as to become the prey?
Weapons tossed idle dulled they decay
lust run a rampant to fill up each day

Then...you ask me
"where is your God?"
Ever present watching your own demise.
It is not in Gods absence that the battle is won

Who will stand on the line?
When the arrows fly behind they flush you out of the woods.
There is no hiding place down here.
So rally up the wounded may courage bind the scares

There is a battle at hand
if it were that deserters were shot
perhaps then we would have a strong front
no... we just wine that it is God who is absent...?

"Where is our God?"
Asking the same thing of you
Just where is this heart to be found
With whom do your loyalties serve?

It is the people who have left the field
in hearts hardened by those subversive attacks
little daily choices hearts have turned back
May that answer the question you ask.

This in response to the query of day before.
Gods right here...imagine He is pretty disappointed and saddened too.
Why would you blame him when humanity is so a fault.
Ignorant that this greater epic plays out.
There is a battle going on.
We either choose what side we are on or that choice is made in our apathy.
No fence sitting in this a one, it is the real deal.

Thank you!! for this post, I so badly needed to read this today, some awful news at work about on of our respiratory therapist's little girl, who's only 3, had a tumor removed about ? week in half ? she was doing so good, but this tumor on the base of this little angels skull had "seeds" and we all know "seeds" must grow, so now shes has to go through chemo and radiation, so I've done a terrible thing and questioned him and to some point even been doubtful, my heart is so heavy for this family, so thank you for posting, where is my God? he's right beside me and always in my heart, mind, and soul!!

The potato nails are a very clever invention.

Hmmmm...the shoes look so comfy.

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
