Simple Womans Day Book

For Today...

Outside my window... It is raining heavily and has been an hour or two now. The chickens are covered with a tarp. It sounds so peaceful. It is late night and dark. Makes me just want to go crawl under the covers

I am thinking... Hot shower, sleep.

From the learning rooms... Skills gained this last two months, Sour dough bread baking, yogurt making, and laundry soap making. Dove is doing great in all her lessons. Her character is wonderful . We did our valentines, and I to listened to her kindness in logic was just priceless. Dash was adorable as his thought about all the kids and gave to each one personally.
Dash won an award . He is in second grade and at a 4.6 reading level and just was awarded a math club award. Dove also is very advance in her reading and received another Pizza prize award.
I am thankful for... For the health of my sweet crew. The love of my sweet man. The glow of happiness in the children s eyes. Dash prayed at evening meal. He had gratitude for all things we have. Food, shelter each other...I am rich.

From the kitchen... Need to bake the loaf for lunchboxes

I am wearing...jeans socks and a pale yellow sweeter set. I had on a nice pale green necklace set.

I am reading... current events and world news.

I am hoping... Success in the chores of house and home and to also be able (more importantly ) to serve the kids at the elementary . All of that in a balance.

I am creating...Home made soap, yogurt, sour dough bread and a big mess in the kitchen.

I am hearing... The silence. The quiet late night hum of my computer.

Around the house... Laundry is mounded in the living room.
The kitchen is very well used and yogurt and bread are living well:)

One of my favorite things... Is when my children come to me after the story time with Daddy. They tell me the one last thing that is important to them for me to know or hear. I get a gentle cuddle and a soft smile exchanged.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Bible Study in the morning, service work at the school Tue., Wen. and Fri. Then on Thursday I have to go get the neuro testing at a 3 hour endurance of the courageous soul!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
That's Kelly Doves' Occupational Therapist...She would come once a week to help Dove to better function. Dove is three in the image and she was gaining better stability. She is playing dress up and the shoes are a problem. She grew so fast. Dash came home soon after and with him being so ill it was like I lost two years of her development just keeping Dash alive. I miss that time in her life.

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
