Aloha Friday
Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog
Today’s question is: Do you shave your dogs in the summer?

Here goes...
I used to clip the hhair of my German Sptiz, but Sheeba 's hair is short , she doesn 't require it.
We have a Labradoodle (half poddle half Lab) and her hair can get really long (even though she doesn't shed). We actually have her shaved every 5 months or so all year round. My Aloha Friday is up: Spice World
Nope, we have a basset hound and her hair stays pretty short
Shave my dogs? No!! :-) They would look pretty silly if they were bald. I do have their hair clipped short year-round only because they look better and require less maintenance that way. But my vet explained to me that dogs have built-in body temperature regulation systems. So long as they have adequate ventilation and water, they are built to function with the type of hair the Divine Creator bestowed upon them!
I don't currently have a dog but yes, I did shave the dogs I had in the summer. The last dog we had was a german shepherd and he liked his summertime "do" after he got used to the cats laughing at him. :)
Good question. Mine's up too.
I don't have any dogs but my Mom does. She did shave him once but ended up looking like a rat. hee hee
