No Christ mass alowed in my family.
Thank God for that.
So, what is wrong with Christmas?

1. To say that Jesus was born on December 25th is a lie! The true date is sometime in September according to the Scriptures.

2. Trees, wreaths, holly, mistletoe and the like are strictly forbidden as pagan and heathen! To say that these are Christian or that they can be made Christian is a lie!

3. The Lord never spoke of commemorating his birth but rather commanded us to remember the sacrifice of His suffering and death, which purchased our salvation.

Think about it! Can we worship and honor God by involving ourselves with customs and traditions, which God Himself forbade as idolatry? Can we convince God to somehow "Christianize" these customs and the whole pretense and lie of Christmas, so we can enjoy ourselves? Can we obey through disobedience?

So what is right about Christmas? 1. Nothing!
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

It would really be nice to have open dialog anonymous. It always feels a bit of a splash and dash. Who are you? Perhaps you would come out of a shadow and say hello. It is sorta unkind of you to just blurt out. I would love to understand your base for point number two. Can you show me one?
Point number one well taken. We do not teach the children that it is really the actual day of his birth.
Do you know what the actual day is?
There was a time when in my early marriage when I had a great struggle with having Christmas.
So the strife and the condemnation are Christ like? Wow you left me feeling so great about myself.
You too can start your day being called a retrobate disapproved on trial and rejected!
God must be so very pleased with you dear.

Donetta altho we don 't know the exact date of Christ 's birth ,according to historians it was around the winter solstice.
And to rejoice and share with the world the awesomeness and reality of Christ 's birth whether you use the symbols or not is a good thing.

I am umcomfortable with the commercialization and trivialization of Christmas and Santa Claus being made the god of Christmas, but it is a good time to witness.

The history of Christ-mas
I am amazed how the "churches" are
so
ignorant to the true history of Christmas and the
Christmas
tree.I will begin in Ezekiel 8, 14-18, here we see
the women
weeping for Tammuz and the men praying toward
the east
with there backs to the temple. What was God
showing
Ezekiel? Remember the year is 600 B.C. Now
let's look at
Jeremiah 10,1-4. Learn not the way of the
heathen and be
not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the
heathen are
dismayed at them. For the customs of the people
are vain, for
one cutteth the tree out of the forest, the work of
the hands
of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with
silver and
with gold, they fasten it with nails and with
hammers that it
move not. Now god was telling the people not to
do as the
heathen putting trees up in there house 600
hundred years
before Christ was born.

We now need to know who Tammuz is. Tammuz
was the son
of Nimrod and Semiramis, two Gods worshiped
from ancient
times until this day. Tammuz was their son and
also
worshiped as a God. That's why the women were
weeping in
the book of Ezekiel. The legend is that Tammuz
was killed by
a wild boar while hunting. His blood ran over to a
stump and
up grew an evergreen tree. This is where the
pagan ritual of
putting a tree in the house began. They were
doing it 600
years before Christ and God said for Christians
not to do this
.Also Tammuz birthday was Dec 25, the ritual of
giving
presents on that day was already established
long before
Christs birth. Constantine put Christ's birthday on
Dec 25
because there was already a holiday in place, a
pagan holiday.

Now even the church itself carries on this satanic
practice
blindly. Has no one ever thought how bazaar this
custom is
and wondered what it has to do with Christ. The
church is
dead because they do not know what they are
doing. I am
sure Satan laughs at the complete ignorance of
the so called
Christian people. I challenge you to look into this
information
and seek the truth for yourself.
Is Santa - Ded Moroze true characters? Do dhey bring gifts? Satan Claus
Even "Santa Claus," the most popular symbol of Christmas in the United States, has a pagan origin. Says the World Book Encyclopedia: "Some of Santa Claus's characteristics date back many centuries. For example, the belief that Santa enters the house through the chimney developed from an old Norse legend. The Norse believed that the goddess Hertha appeared in the fireplace and brought good luck to the home."

But the most significant symbolism in this myth is that children are taught through it that he has many of the characteristics that only God actually has: omniscience (knowing all - "he knows when you've been bad or good") omnipresence, being able to cover the world with gift-giving in one night, etc. Satan always wanted to take God's place, to be like God. "Satan Claus" (as I call this myth,) is a substitute for God and for the supposed "reason for the season."

Santa Claus stands identified as none other than that original arch apostate Nimrod! His attributes hark back to ancient pagan worship. When children are asked, "What did Santa Claus bring you this year?" it is merely a modern twist to an old Satanic counterfeit pagan religion! All the merry Christmas songs hearken back to pagan times, relics of a pagan past.
My name is Irene, I'm Russian. I'm not condemming you rather incouragint to examine your self. If this is ofendidg you, please remember Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Do you?

Dear Irene,
How very much I appreciate your response. You have given me great references to study and research.
My Children Know that Santa is a fictional character and that ONLY God answers prayer. As my Dash even stated this evening..."we don't wish we pray it does no good to just wish about a thing, you must pray for God is the way it can come true.
I knew nothing of several of the historical points you bring out. I look forward to looking into them farther. As I stated before there was a time when I did not have a tree.
My historical take on sc is more of a recent historical date. Of the one who was a figure who was a descendant of a rich family who gave all he had to the impoverished children, this is who I speak off.
I have always believed it wrong to deceive a child or to make them believe that any but God is omnipresent. However I suppose I did encourage Dash to wonder about it after that Santa asked about the towels on the floor. I will reconsider that and speak with him about the fact that most kids leave towels on the floor. He should understand the ploy. To be wise as a serpent. I think it will be a great lesson to show him the power of deception and how easily one can be duped.
I apologize for being sarcastic. I think I was a bit put off. Thank you again for the show of character in your response.
Yes Irene I do KNOW HIS voice and yes Irene I do Follow him and keep my eyes upon him. My Dear Lady do you walk in the compassion that will let ear open to you? In your knowledge and understanding use some care as to tender your words for they may appear harsh. I think Irene (believing the best in you ) that this is not your desire.

Amrita,
Hello, I too can not stand the synergy that the commercialization has powered. I so loved this Christmas more than others for my family. I do not get into the big red guy. I have a soft quilt sculpture of a 'father Christmas" it looks so much like my Dad at the mortuary on the slab, he had peace for the first time. The Father Christmas it reaching up to heaven where a bird is alighting on his finger. It makes me think of my Abba Father God.
It does open up dialog, in India I would imagine even more so. I think here in the US it can be more of a stumbling to folks , with feel good conversions that have no substance.
I love the songs of worship too. witnessing is a thing that is all year. Often those who are for show just do it at Christmas. Missing the mark ya know. Irene has left some food for thought.
Love you Sweetie.

Dear Donetta, this is not my harshness but the difference in language, some people think I'm harsh, but as being Russian, I always speak straight to the point (not being diplomatic & phony, that way I was brought up in my country). I pray that You will understand and not be that sensitive. Donetta I do care about you and your family, I love the Lord my Saviour, Jesus Christ, I need to be faithful to Him and speak the truth always when He leads me.
Little lie opens the door for another. So we need to teach our children to know the truth no matter what. They will not learn it in school. That is why our children are so confused. If our children have any sort of problems look in the spiritual always. Seek The Lord first, for the reason. He will always answer to His children. What is the truth? Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Let The God of all creation, Jesus Christ be exalted in your life and your loved ones.
Amen?

Thank you Irene.
I do understand the difference in cultural dialect. I have been to Russia and have met with the wonderful straight forwardness and do have an appreciation for it. I was hit at first. Please know however that not all will be able to hear with a tender less ear.
I do appreciate your affection for my family. Blessings and peace be with you. I will Eat the meat that be found in your offering.
Thank you.
Be Embraced

Thank you Donetta, you are very sweet. I pray that mercies of The Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.

'TIS not that I did choose Thee,
For, Lord, that could not be,
This heart would still refuse Thee.
But Thou hast chosen me.

My heart owns none before Thee:
For Thy rich grace I thirst:
This knowing, if I love Thee,
Thou must have loved me first."

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
