Binding a simple sandwich quilt
The backing (pre quilted ) was an inch or two to short.I pinned on a little extra, and machine stitchedd it on. open and press
Make a stack and bind it
like so, stitch around binding and turn it over and press out the binding.
Fold it over to the back side. This time the Son shining on me played out a perfect hideing joy. Not a seam visible. Ya!
I love corners that are pin point accurate. They are just satisfying and add quality to your work. Here is how it is accomplished.
Fold over snug to press open seam.
Keep tight up against the sandwich.
The corners are better showed than for me to try to explain it.
You can not pin enough here.
Pressing all of this gives it a great memory and a easy stitching. I do mine by hand from here.
Press hot lots of steam. This is yours Lisa. I have awaited the showers completion. This was Jackson's quilt.A simple quilt adds warmth. It soes not have to be so complicated that your not able to do it.

Great work sweetie.
What a sweet thing to do...... I am so new at quilting and I have just finished hand quilting one that my grandmother pieced together before her death... It has been laying around finished because I have no idea how to bind it off correctly....... maybe I will take courage and try.......... Beautiful quilt!
