Tales from the scales * to humbly begin again*

Today I begin again...
I have before me the choice to avoid this issue and just get bigger and weaker and less healthy
Or
I can begin again...
humble myself and start over...choice is a powerful thing. I have only failed if I stop trying. so...I begin again. I am so disappointed in myself. I have lost ground on my knee and it is my own fault. It is my own choice to neglect myself, my responsibility to care for myself. I deemed myself not worthy by my own actions. I must begin again and stand up to that lie. I need to set myself up as more than worth to pursue this endeavor. I have lost my knee I think to neglect of exercise. I hope I can get it to recover the neglect. I am very angry at myself.
Sugar is so addictive and I need to first step it. I fell again into the sugar bowl of life. with the intense cavings and affiliations that are there. I must replace the voids and begin again. It is so hard to give it up! I am such a junkie to it.
Today I have two sick kids so I think. It is perhaps sugar that is leaving them more vulnerable to illness. It is really hard on immunity. I am pained in my joints too. week and fatigued of body. I know this experience I have been on this road too many times not to know the end of it.
I must begin again.!
I admit I have a problem and I desire to face it. YIKES!

You can do it this time, Donetta! Believe in yourself and you'll be amazed what happens!

I agree, you can do it! I didn't eat white refined sugar at all for years, and I was so much healthier. Now that it has snuck back into our home we are sick more and yet I find myself creating excuses not to quit cold turkey. I know I have to though. I'll join you with resolve to be healthier this year!

I try to do a lot with stevia instead of sugar. I am an addict right there along with you. I have cut way back on what the kids get too and it's helping.

I know you can do it, Donetta! We're all here pulling for you. See if you can find the Abs Diet for Women book. It has a list of such GOOD foods to eat (and recommending dark Dove chocolates) that you never feel like you are deprived. Sending hugs and prayers your way.

We share the same resolution to be healthier this year. While I don't consume sugar (raw sugar), I tend to snack on chocolates which is sugar too. I find listening to Paul McKenna neuro-linguistic program very helpful. It has actually cut my cravings and motivate me to exercise. I jog/brisk walk for at least 2kms 4-5 times a week and I feel healthier even if I just started early this month.

We can make possitive changes if we chose too! Goodluck to us!

Good luck with it this time around. It's always good to have another person on the road to weight loss

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
