On Being a good neighbor
Tonight I was chilling and reading the list of free stuff on craigs list. An add was on there that said to come to help stuff all sorts of stuff with the address on the leader line. It was including images of belongings with the house photo as well.
I called 911 for the add had come up only 15 minutes prior.
An officer called me back. Thanked me the family was being set up. A vendetta or prank. Within moments up an add like that can generate 50 responders on the way to the house in a frenzy.
The police were able to intervene and the home owner was alerted.
It felt so good when the officer told me thanks, and that my call had saved a family many issues. The add acted as if everything was for the taking. Imagine looking out your window to see vehicles coming and the folks getting out to strip your property and make the way inside. NEVER take anything without owner approval! ever.
Folks of common sense will know this but as we all know that is not to common now a days.

You ARE a good neighbor!
Great advice! And wow, I didn'tknow that such things happen nowadays. Ack. Have been getting caught up here at your blog--how great that you walked a mile! It's been awhile since I did that, but need to get back to it. Prayers are coming for your children.... oh, and I loved the blanket fort! I remember those days well, both my own and my daughter's, too. Blessings, Debra (As always, thanks for your comments at my blog!)
Praying for your children, and you are a wonderful neighbor.
