American Sewing Guild Phoenix Chapter, Scottsdale Branch
Chirstmas in July
Sewing Christmas Stockings for the Salvation Army We all showed up with Machines, Irons and Rotary cutters to do some fun Community work.
Everyone shared a dish or a beverage. I made some homemade Lemon Aide.
We had a buffet lunch afterward.
We had the room for two hours.
So many wonderful women!
We finish 170 Stockings and had several partials
that would be taken home to finish over the summer.
Hands of all ages were there to love through their works and acts of kindness.
Show me your faith... :)
Look into your local chapter to see if you can find a group. It has offered me a great sense of affiliation. I have been so encouraged to keep my skills alive. We have show and tell and thats so fun. Folks have all different skill levels and interest.
