Little Dove's Blood draw

Yesterday we awoke and found ourselves only 5 minutes after the doors opened in a very long line. We missed the window for her fast. Steve stayed home from work and missed and hour to tend to Dash.

Last night I kept her up and stuffed her until 10 p.m. This morning I awoke very early after being up in the night with a sore throat, thankfully it is much better. I took some "Airborn" a teachers anti cold remidy. I got Steve"s lunch made with the last two slices of bread (all I have need of).
Dash awoke He was up as I was putting on my boots. I got Steve and Dove up. The three of us were out the door by 6:20 and in the hall sitting on the cold for for 30 minutes first in line! Two of the employees came and I made kind to them. They were kind in response at our entry. Try to help them start their day. While we were waiting the kids had thumb wars and played tick tack toe. It was very peaceful. I love my kids!!!!!!
At 7 a.m. we got in first. At least fifteen people in tow behind us. All signing in behind and the waiting area was full in 5 minutes. We had our paper work done from yesterday.

Dove was amazing as was the phlebotomist he was kind and sweet to the kids. I asked him his name and called him by it. Dove just sat herself down even watched him insert the needle. He used a line for the switching of the tubes. She did not even flinch. How proud she was to do so. No tears as this 12 year old walks out into this full lobby. Badge of courage on her arm smiling. As was I! We were done at 7:07!

This test is to check her IRON levels. The sleep specialist said that on most blood test the low iron does not get flagged because the low is "just" within the norm. Restless Leg/full body is helped with iron supplements if your low. Use care though that you do not use too much it can cause other problems if you get too much.

I took the kids to the Golden Arches and we had breakfast. Dash was stunned for the breakfast burrito was only around a third of the size of what I make him each morning. That kid does burn those calories. I shared some of mine with him.

When we walked in Daddy man rang just at that moment just in time to praise the kids. They had 15 minutes to play and then off o the buss stop! Here I am exhausted and happy. I have to leave again at 10a.m. and then the kids will be home short day. They get there teeth cleaned at 4 p.m.! So I will sit here or go lay down but do nothing for an hour and 45 minutes! Come home later and rest until they get back.

Can you just imagine an 8 year old and a 12 year old (who was up until 10p.m.) getting up and in the truck amenable and helpful! Boy I am so blessed!

No word on the sleep study yet. It is hoped by the specialist for this Friday. I will keep a clear schedule and just rest all day tomorrow. I will have to sleep in a chair all night if so. I must get as much rest as I can. I still have two days of steroids and 6 days more of antibiotics. I have got to get over this it has been almost a month sick now. Upper respiratory can take time. I must find a way to rest more. Those steroids make me feel like I have supper powers.

Still here, loving you and praying for you.

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
