Tackle it Tuesday

My big task today was to make tamales, green sauce and a good dinner.
See that bottle of javinaros (sp) well ...
Today I am in a tremendous amount of back pain so I finally broke down and took too pain pills...
You know in order to function and stop crying out.

Well function does not = functioning well...
Ha
That little jar of gold was a gift they are real smoked peppers.
I did not function well...
Ha
I made the green sauce and all but finished added the peppers oop first mistake see that plural peppers....oh no...

So It smelled or rather emitted a very hot scent...
Me silly , on two pain pills me...
Tasted it!
I just dipped my finger in it that is all....
oh no no no
Immediately I was at the sink spiting and clearing with water and almost lost the "cookies".
Dove ran for a cracker for me to absorb the oils. OH OH OH OH OH OH
Well you see that little jar there?

Hell fire in a bottle!
I added two of them.
My apron is off for the day!
function = eating well and not going through hellfire.

My fabric heaven has turned into a big mess!
Neglected sewing Machine and just pining for my attention

For those of you who sew...
We who think of color like a child thinks of candy...

This is my tackle...
Well one of them.
I have so many things I long to create and they are put off on the back burner of priority.

Sewing creating and just having some fun with it.

Oh but the tasks that are never ending call me away into laundry and tortilla making and and and and and ...

well if all that is just going to go on and on and on....

perhaps it is the time to pull this forward.

I know what you mean, the list is never ending! I have not sewn in over a year. My sewing machine is awfully dusty! Check out my Tackle It Tuesday here.

All those ribbons and racks of material are so pretty! I wish I knew how to sew, now remember my children, when they where younger, didn't call me Duct Tape Momma, for nothing! lol I always look forward to coming by here, you always have something new to read, I'm sorry.... but...I had to giggle over the pepper thing, I could picture you standing over the sink and your sweet Dove running to the pantry closet to get you a cracker, too sweet! you always make me smile!

Older women likewise teach the younger women...

• how to love their husbands
• how to love their children
• how to be self-controlled
• how to be pure
• how to be keepers at home
• how to be kind and submissive (not subservient) to their own husbands. (See Titus 2:3-5)

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Words have power. Here are a few of my favorite sayings.

  • A warm cup of tea is like a cuddle with a friend.
  • The North American Indians have a more eloquent word for ‘friend’ than we do in English. In their language, the word for friend literally means, “the one who carries my sorrows on his back.”
  • Return with Honor
  • The sage anticipates things that are difficult while they are easy, and does things that would become great while they are small. All difficult things in the world are sure to arise from a previous state in which they were easy, and all great things from one in which they were small. Therefore the sage, while he never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
  • "HOME IS WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS"
  • “Live so that when your children hear these words they think of you… Fairness Caring Integrity Honesty Love Trust.”
  • "O Lord help my words to be gracious and tender today, for tomarrow I may have to eat them."
  • "No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes"
