Shoe Polish *Reduce-reuse-recycle*

 Remember when we bought it once and took good care of it to make it last. Now I now many of you wise souls have known this way. Knowledge lost of the wolves who have come gained not only our minds but our pocketbooks as well. This week pulling out a different hand bag and some old sandals to match it called in some tending too.

 Yep, there worn and seen not just a few miles. But they are mine, mine to what I own and afford. Yep, one day perhaps next year to the top of the budget will come a new pair. For now I delight in shoe polish. Once was a new pair of shoes were not taken for granted. My own mom was not able to go to school for her daddy would not get her a pair of shoes. Many years in the great depression things were so. Food and shelter mattered most. However my mom should of been treated better.

 Snippin' the threads and brushing out the ring yes...mine. the have good use left in them. They were purchased as a timeless style with purposeful intention.

Do ya one better than that. With folk forgetting just what polish is or is used for keep an eye out on clearance. Now days shelf space is more important than function. Now this was $1 a time back.

Mind you never polish swede shoes or handbags. for a colorless polish try leather wax. leather soap too.

Clean up those shoes when your do your pedicure. Shoes show your character. New or not, the care one takes of a shoe shows many an employer how detailed a person may be. Just an Old Wives Wisdom passed on.

Tackle it Tuesday

Good Morning!
Now here was a huge tackle
That the Daddy Man did this week end.

She gave me sets and I love them stitched together to use at the stove.

I found a nice Asian $1 store yesterday is my quest to fine some bar laundry soap.
I got a few things
The knives needed a good steel wooling.
The little pads in the bag are nice.
Big pads of steel wool can get nasty and they are often then tossed and wasted these are a nice small job size
Keep your steel wool dry after use.

before, then with a bit of elbow grease (hand strength) alone walla!Much better. These are fine steal Japanese hardened steel knifes.
Cheep knives well do not do this with them.
The metal will just get all scratched.

While at that little shop I found inexpensive frames for the kids honors.
I have been wanting to acknowledge them for the efforts.
I will frame and hang them.

Found the bar soap.
Laundry soap just ran out from that last run I made.
This clear soap is a better choice.
It has a coconut oil base.
$1.29 a bar, I grabbed 5 of them and that is a 6-8 months supply of staple for laundry soap making.
The other items have many more jobs to do than that per box.

Found these little purses to put the coin in for the kids skate party.
They each get a few tokens with the deal we purchased.

Found these $2 each.
The job with these is to put the tax information for the required 7 years into.
This job is long over due and I will enjoy the efficiency of it.
Each year just shed the oldest year and replace current finished tax documents in it.
This is important to have at hand if your needing the most important things to grab and run.
Like a fire, or natural disaster.
I am just doing it for duty sake for the wisdom of it.

Found signs for the 4 runner one each side back window and one in the very back window...
I need to fill these out.

My first takle of the day was Doves education.

Measurement is a very abstract thing.
I was inspired to give her the resorses to use as a tangable reference.

We all learn differently.
Dyslexics are often left uneducated because teachers are forced and often refuse too, think outside of the box.
I love that I still do homeschooling in my own fashion.

Parents are the first teachers.
Home is the first school.

Hanging laundry on the line *the science*

To my great Joy My U. got the new clothes line hung up this weekend. I have been using a single line for 8-9 years now and never have enough room or never as much as I wished I had. . You see I love to spoil the fun of the electric company!
They find great fun in the humor of us paying to dry our clothes in a dryer and then paying more to cool the house down after the dryer is emptied. Then all those hot clothes gust heats up the room and the poor soul hanging them even more.
So I in my great wisdom (cocky aren't I) have been hanging my clothing for years!
Trying to sell the house this year and doing away with a clothes line for several months really showed up on the electric bill.
I saw this multi line clothes line at a dolor type store for $25.
Well My Time is a valuable commodity.
You may ask well hanging clothing is time consuming...Oh really?

Lets count the costs. After I go hang out this next load...
Well it is now 9:30 p.m. hee hee hee
I hang the t shirts and such upside down and put in a hanger.
When dry they gust go right into the closets.

I worked on Laundry all day!

The white jug is a recycled laundry jug cut open on one side for the clothes pens. I have 200 and use them all up when sox and undies are on the lines.

I am so happy with the lines.

every 15 minutes I had another double load to hang and put away.
It was awesome. The weather was balmy and the breeze through the wet cloth was nice.
I wore a nice big hat.

Off the line right into the closet!

This was such fast work of it. The shirts dried in less than 15 minutes.
Done by the time the washer stopped and the dishes were loaded.
The delicates were almost dry by the time I had the whole load hung, and I work fast!

Load by load. I had a months laundry to do because of all the health issues.
The childrens clothing has been washed twice but our things were all in a huge mound!
I think I did 12 double loads (front loader Neptune washer) and a quilt that was hanging in the master bedroom.

The house was cool.
I used the dryer for 5 minutes to soften the jeans with a wet towel.
Don't let the things dry hard. Remove them from the line just when dry.
I did not pay the cost of unning the dryer all day and having all the wet clothes add up waiting the turn to go into the dryer. I only dried the dress shirts in the dryer and that after 8 p.m.
I think I paid for the clothes line and clothes pens in one day! :)
This was so wonderful to have a day outside. The breeze was so sweet a gift and the job finished a big relief.
I rested and iced after the dinner meal.

Well I guess I have the palate for jewelery for this fall. I like the withered rose for a hand bag for the fall.Not too many colors I favor but a mixed variety. I have studies color analysis for wardrobe and makeup. I think that those who have the fall tone are going to look wonderful in the Ochre and burt Oranges , Springs s will look wonderful in the Shitake and the lilac. For winters it will be a little less dramatic. The twilight and the red perhaps not just right but close. And I will indulge in Iris shady glen and carribean sea with a bit of the withered rose. I am a summer with the olive skin and blue eyes. I love the years when the colors offered are the ones I look best in. I wait until the season had ended and then scoop up a few basic items when it all goes on clearence. I pay attention to these trends to use the infermation to my advantage when designing jewlery and sewing accesories and such. Advertizers use thes trend to keep your dollor flowing you see you always have to get a new thing to match your top or skirt or new shoes. They do have a very diabolical method to the seaming madness. Use care when combining these some are clashing colors.
